I have a dream like everybody has one, one day or for the rest of their lives. Everybody wants to be rich, an artist, a painter, a pilot, a husband or a wife, to have children and so on.
To dream could be compared like a wheel that moves our lives for years and years.
As I said, I have a dream, not a simple dream, but a complex one. I want to be a personage of a famous story written by a famous writer. It could be a comedy or a romance, an epic or saga. But if possible, I would rather be “Don Quixote de La Mancha” by Miguel de Cervantes, a Spanish writer, in the story of the same title.
You could ask me:” Why would you like to be “Don Quixote de La Mancha?” and I could look into your eyes and ask you: “Why not? Don’t you know the story? Didn’t you read this classic book or didn’t you see the film about it called “The Man of La Mancha”, starred by Sophia Loren?” But if you were my friend and asked that question, I’d stayed a little angry with you, and I had asked you again: “Don’t you know me, my friend? In spite of the years that we have walked together, don’t you know me? It’s a pity!”
If you were my friend you should be ashamed, because you should know that I am an idealist person.
