The famous Italian diver, Enzo Maiorca, was diving in the sea near Syracuse and talking to his daughter, Rossana, who was on the boat. As he was getting ready to dive, he felt something gently tap his back. When he turned around, he saw it was a dolphin. At first, he thought the dolphin just wanted to play, but then he realized the dolphin was trying to tell him something.

The dolphin dived under the water, and Enzo followed it. About 12 meters deep, they found another dolphin trapped in an old fishing net. Enzo quickly asked his daughter to grab the diving knives. Together, they managed to cut the net and free the dolphin. After the dolphin was freed, it let out a sound that Enzo described as "almost human." Dolphins can only stay underwater for about 10 minutes before they drown.

Once freed, the dolphin was helped to the surface by Enzo, Rossana, and the other dolphin. Then, something amazing happened. The dolphin they saved was pregnant! The male dolphin circled them, then swam up to Enzo, gently touched his cheek as if giving him a kiss, and swam away with the female.

Enzo Maiorca ended the story by saying, "Until man learns to respect and communicate with the animal world, he will never truly understand his place on Earth."
