Kim Ungyong was born on 8 March 1962 in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Kim was a child genius, the type that is rare to find. He was so exceptional that he made the Guinness World Records for having the highest ever recorded IQ.
He solved very difficult mathematics question, spoke four different languages. Starting from the age of three, Kim became a guest student at one of the best universities in Japan.
Kim started working at NASA when he was eight, he did some research works, obtained his PHD from the Colorado State University. To the dismay of many people, Kim left NASA , moved back to South Korea to become a mathematician.
His unexpected withdrawal from the “boy genius” status earned him the nickname, “the Failed Genius.”
In Kim’s own words:
“I was really lonely. No one ever made friends with me. After work hours, I could exercise and enjoy my hobbies, but there was no one to accompany me. I came from another country and I was young, so there were no seats for children even though everyone was an adult.”
