WEDDING DAY !
Who would say
Or even consider
That two troubled people
With life work and loneliness
Could suddenly find true love
In the same vast ocean
That by birth created them apart
Who would dare imagine
Or so little as contemplate
The blooming of a flower
So beautiful and strong
In hearts of stone
Deserts of despair
Valleys of indifference.
Life brought us together
To share the beauty within
The encounter of two beings;
That the vast human malignant mediocrity
Did its best to keep apart !
What off course
Was’t enough
To deceive true love.
We fought together
And as lovers we won
Breaking in pieces the barriers
Of indifference
Of intolerance
Of discrimination
Of lack of humanity
Of arrogant stupidity
And…
We are here today
Sharing our love
And our victory
With friends and allies
With loved ones
In this very important accomplishment
